The Unknown
Short Film
Three teenagers are on their way to class when one of them splits off to use the bathroom. He never comes back. At first, it doesn’t feel serious, just late, maybe messing around, but when phone calls go unanswered, something feels wrong.
One of the classmates goes looking for him and doesn’t return. Then the other follows, only to meet the same fate. What starts as a normal school day slowly turns into something far darker.
A detective is eventually brought in and a suspect is questioned, but no clear answers come from it. No one is proven guilty. The truth is never revealed.
What happened, and who did it, remains unknown.
PROJECT WITH DESCRIPTION EXAMPLE
I developed this project by working through the stages of the pre-production, production to post-production process. I began in pre-production, where I focused on organising the project and creating essential documents to guide the shoot. Due to the limited time available, I wasn’t able to complete every planned document, but I produced the most important ones to support the production.
Once planning was in place, I worked with my classmates to record all the footage needed for the film. We focused on capturing the key moments of the story while maintaining consistency in tone and atmosphere throughout the shoot.
After filming, I moved into post-production. I edited the footage to shape the pacing and structure of the film, then added visual effects where needed to enhance certain scenes. This stage allowed me to bring the project together and create a finished piece that reflects both the narrative and the mood I intended.
